DTC-60 Racing Brake Pads

The Hawk HB501G.625 are racing brake pads featuring the DTC-60 race compound, engineered for extreme deceleration rates and high downforce applications. This compound is known for its excellent modulation and release characteristics, making it a superior choice for serious racers who have experienced overheating or insufficient bite with less aggressive compounds. They offer stable friction output across a wide operating temperature range of 400-1600°F, with an optimal temperature range between 600-1200°F. The DTC-60 compound is applicable to a variety of racing series including NASCAR, ARCA, Super Late Models, and various sports car and open-wheel classes. These brake pads are not intended for street use and are recommended for experienced racers. They are often paired with DTC-70 pads for split friction needs or used on lighter cars with DTC-30 rear pads. For heavier, performance-oriented vehicles like Corvettes, Mustangs, Porsches, and BMWs, DTC-60 is commonly used on the rear axle in conjunction with DTC-70 pads on the front.
