The Hawk HB665G.577 rear brake pads utilize the DTC-60 compound, engineered for high-performance motorsports applications. These pads deliver superior release and torque control, making them a popular choice for vehicles with high deceleration rates, suitable for use with or without down force. The DTC-60 compound is designed for exceptional performance in demanding racing environments such as NASCAR, ARCA, Super Late models, pavement circle track, Pro 2/Pro 4 Off Road Trucks/Pro Lite, Sports Car/GT/GS, and Open Wheel/Formula racing. They are compatible with Iron/Metal rotors and are not suitable for use with carbon ceramic rotors. Key characteristics of the DTC-60 compound include high torque with less initial bite than the DTC-70 compound, ensuring predictable braking. They are also noted for their very low abrasive rotor wear, extending the life of your brake rotors. The optimal operating temperature range for these pads is 700-1100°F, with a maximum temperature of 400-1600°F. It is important to note that these pads are **not for street use**. For example, specific Porsche Boxster and Cayman models are listed, but explicitly exclude models with Code 450 Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB).
