These WEBER IDF carburetors provide ultimate engine tuning through total air and fuel metering and adjustment capabilities. The IDF-XE Plus series features separate idle and main circuits with changeable air and fuel jets, while intake air is metered by interchangeable venturies. The accelerator pump is adjustable for optimal acceleration. This specific kit (43-7317-0) includes two 40mm WEBER IDF carburetors without velocity stacks, an aluminum alloy hex bar linkage kit with steel ball ends, sealed aircraft heim rod ends, offset aluminum intake manifolds, and chrome air filters with high-flow gauze elements. It also comes with a coil relocation mount, a brass fuel tee, and detailed, illustrated instructions. WEBER carbs are known for their readily available jets, gaskets, and repair parts worldwide. This kit is pre-jetted for VW engines, with 40mm carburetors recommended for engines up to 1800cc. For future engine modifications, it is advised to consider sizing up the carburetors.
