Dual 40mm IDF Carburetor Kit with Hex Bar Linkage

The Weber VW Carburetor Kit, part number 43-7317-0, is a dual 40mm IDF carburetor system designed for enhanced engine tuning. This kit features an aluminum alloy hex bar with steel ball ends and sealed aircraft heim rod ends for reliable linkage. It includes offset aluminum intake manifolds, high-strength steel linkage mounts, and chrome air filter housings with high-flow gauze elements. A coil relocation mount and brass fuel tee are also provided, along with detailed illustrated instructions. This kit is compatible with a range of VW Aircooled models, including the Beetle (1954-1977 with Dual Port 1600cc-1835cc+ engines), Super Beetle (1971-1979), Karmann Ghia (1955-1974), Bus (1950-1971), and Thing (1973-1974). It is also ideal for sand rails, dune buggies, and trikes utilizing these engines. Installation notes specify that this kit may not fit with the stock fan shroud without modification and will not work on Bus or Type 3 models with pancake style engines. Additionally, some Beetles produced between 1975-1979 were fuel injected and may not be compatible. The kit will only fit a 36HP style fan shroud and will not fit with the stock shroud; it fits under the deck lid of Beetles and Vans, and Ghia models if the hood is modified.
