The AudioControl TXJTD8 is a dual 8" vented subwoofer enclosure specifically engineered for seamless integration beneath the rear seat of the Jeep Gladiator JT (2020-2024 models). Constructed from heavy-duty fiberglass with internal bracing, the TXJTD8 boasts a rugged and weather-resistant design. Its exterior features a Roadkill-Armor Coat, providing a permanent, heat-bonded Elastomeric Polyurethane Molecule coating that offers superior durability. This coating protects against scratches, cracks, and peels, while also providing sound dampening properties for resonance reduction, and resistance to chemicals, stains, impact, and UV exposure. Poly-fill is included to absorb standing waves and reduce distortion, and a durable, coated steel subwoofer grille offers extra protection. The enclosure houses two 8" 4-ohm Spike Series subwoofers, wired together to present a 2-ohm load to your amplifier. These subwoofers are designed for high excursion and ultra-low bass reproduction, featuring fiber matrix paper cones with mica coating, a dual damping system, and a 2” black anodized voice coil former for superior heat dissipation. The system is rated for an RMS power range of 400-1000 watts, with an ideal target of 700 watts. The frequency response spans from 20Hz to 250Hz, and the enclosure's internal tuning is set at 39 Hz, with a subsonic filter at 31 Hz.
