Dual Caliper Rear Brake Kit

This advanced system employs a single 4-piston caliper, ingeniously splitting its functionality with two pistons dedicated to the foot brake and two independently operating pistons for the handbrake. This sophisticated design ensures robust and reliable braking performance under extreme conditions. Constructed with a focus on lightweight durability, the calipers are forged from a single piece of aerospace-quality aluminum, eliminating potential weak spots inherent in cast or welded designs. This one-piece construction provides exceptional strength and even material thickness, preventing fracturing, warping, and failure. The caliper pistons are aluminum, protected by high-temperature seals, and feature an opposed-piston design for consistent brake pad wear. Included are high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel wear plates. The kit includes lightweight two-piece rotors, available in slotted or cross-drilled styles. Slotted rotors are recommended for track use to help dissipate heat, dust, and gases, while cross-drilled rotors are suggested for daily drivers as they tend to run cooler. The two-piece rotor design features lightweight center sections crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, reducing rotational mass and improving brake response. This design also mitigates rotor warping caused by heat buildup and aids in heat dissipation. Further enhancing performance are D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent expansion under pressure for a quicker pedal response and firmer pedal feel. The kit comes standard with SC5 Street Pads, offering optimal performance for street and occasional track use with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. The system also features a polished titanium handbrake cylinder and lever, CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets for direct OEM bracket location fitment, and D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines. The kit is appropriate for 17-inch wheels and above and is Formula Drift legal. Ksport Big Brake kits are built to order and typically require a 4-6 week production and delivery lead time.
