Overview

The Longacre 52-45782 is a high-capacity, four-post battery disconnect switch engineered for demanding race applications. This manual switch provides a critical safety and power management function, featuring a bright red handle that enhances visibility in emergency situations. The primary battery circuit is rated for 175 amps continuous and 1000 amps peak. The secondary circuit is specifically designed for the output of modern race engines equipped with high-capacity alternators, rated at 125 amps continuous and 500 amps peak. Both circuits utilize robust 3/8" threaded lugs, ensuring secure and reliable connections for your battery and alternator cables. This disconnect switch operates within a temperature range of 20°F to 180°F and may require drilling a 3/4" hole for installation. It is sold as the switch only and does not include a mounting panel. This unit represents Longacre's highest amp switch offering, providing a reliable solution for preventing battery drain and enabling a complete electrical system shutdown.
