The Lennox 73W17, also known as the Honeywell VR8215S1248/B, is a dual direct ignition gas valve designed for 24 VAC systems. This combination gas control features a manual valve, two automatic operators, and a pressure regulator.

It provides two automatic valves: the first opens on a thermostat call for heat and closes when the call ends, while the second opens under regulator control and closes if gas or power is interrupted. The valve meets codes requiring dual safety shutoff and offers conversion kits for natural to LP and LP to natural gas. All adjustments and wiring connections are accessible from the top of the control, and it has a 1/2 PSI pressure rating.

The Lennox 73W17, identified by Honeywell part number VR8215S1248/B and MPN 102837, is a versatile dual direct ignition gas valve operating on 24 VAC. This combination gas control unit integrates a manual valve, two automatic operators, and a pressure regulator for comprehensive control of gas flow in heating systems. This valve is engineered with two distinct automatic functions. The primary automatic valve responds to a thermostat's call for heat, opening to supply gas and closing once the heating demand is met. The secondary automatic valve, controlled by the integrated regulator, opens to ensure gas supply but immediately closes if either the gas supply or electrical power is interrupted, thereby meeting dual safety shutoff code requirements. It features an ON-OFF lighting sequence and provides convenient access to all adjustments, wiring connections, and the pilot outlet from the top of the unit. With a 1/2" x 1/2" inlet/outlet size and a 1/2 PSI pressure rating, it is suitable for a variety of applications, offering standard opening and allowing mounting in any direction.
