The Flex-a-lite 103961 Direct-Fit Dual Electric Cooling Fans are engineered as a performance upgrade for 1994-2002 Dodge Ram trucks equipped with the 5.9L Cummins diesel engine. This system replaces the factory clutch fan, offering improved efficiency and potentially up to a 6% increase in fuel economy and a recovery of up to 27 horsepower. The dual fan setup utilizes two 15-inch S-Blade electric fans, capable of moving up to 5,500 CFM of airflow. A key component is the Flex-a-lite Variable Speed Controller, which dynamically adjusts the fan speed between 60-100% based on radiator temperature, ensuring optimal cooling performance while minimizing unnecessary power draw. The system also includes an A/C relay. Installation is designed to be a direct-fit, bolt-on process, with an estimated installation time of approximately 4 hours. The fans have 8 blades each and a combined amperage draw of 36 amps. For added control, an optional Flex-a-lite 31143 Illuminated 3-Way Switch is available separately, allowing users to manually override the controller and turn the fans on or off at 100% capacity.
