This kit includes a rigid, lightweight billet aluminum cage that ensures a tight seal to the airbox, replacing less robust plastic stock components. The dual-layer foam design is a core feature: the outer layer of coarse open-pore foam captures larger contaminants like dirt, grime, and sand, while the inner layer of fine open-pore foam acts as a secondary filter to trap smaller particles without restricting airflow. The PowerFlow kit's design is intentionally smaller than the stock filter to promote increased air space and better circulation within the airbox, potentially leading to improved engine performance. For optimal performance and filtration, it's recommended to follow Twin Air's guidelines for cleaning and maintenance, as the adhesive is formulated to endure these processes. This Twin Air PowerFlow Filter Kit is specifically designed to fit Honda CRF250R models from 2004 to 2019 and Honda CRF450R models from 2003 to 2008. It's important to note that some sources indicate this kit may be intended for closed-course racing use only and might not be legal for street or highway use.
