The Flashark cold air intake kit is a dual-intake performance upgrade designed specifically for the VQ37VHR 3.7L V6 engine found in 2009–2020 Nissan 370Z, 2008–2013 Infiniti G37, and 2014–2015 Infiniti Q50 models. It replaces the stock airboxes, resonator boxes, and corrugated rubber hoses with two mandrel-bent, powder-coated aluminum tubes and high-flow, washable dry-cotton cone filters. By providing a true dual-path intake, this system maintains equal airflow distribution to both cylinder banks and eliminates high-RPM power drop-off common with the restrictive factory setup. Construction features include stamped-steel heat shields that isolate the filter elements from radiant engine bay heat, ensuring denser intake air. The 2.75-inch diameter tubes provide a smoother internal surface to minimize turbulence. The filters are maintenance-friendly, requiring cleaning every 10,000 to 15,000 miles without the risk of oil-induced MAF sensor contamination. Installation is a straightforward, bolt-on process that takes approximately 60–90 minutes using basic hand tools. Compatibility is specific to the listed VQ37VHR engine platforms.
