The Exergy Performance System Saver Inlet Metering Valve (also known as FCA/MPROP) offers a cost-effective solution to protect your 6.7L Ford Power Stroke's high-dollar fuel system from potential CP4.2 pump failure and subsequent injector damage. This upgrade begins with a new Bosch inlet metering valve. Exergy replaces the original plastic-framed, single-layer 85-micron screen with its proprietary two-layer, 10-micron stainless steel screen. The stainless steel frame prevents failure, unlike the original plastic, which can deform or break when clogged. Based on testing, the use of this System Saver valve has shown to increase injector survivability by over 85% in CP4.2 failure scenarios compared to systems using the factory screen. While it's recommended to replace the pump if it fails, this valve may prevent the need to replace injectors unless they exhibit symptoms post-installation. Beyond CP4.2 protection, the System Saver Inlet Metering Valve is also a beneficial upgrade when replacing a faulty metering valve to address issues like idle surge or excessive rail pressure fluctuations. It is compatible with Bosch part numbers 0 928 400 779 and 0 928 400 757, as well as Ford part number BC3Z9J307A. Please note that this valve cannot be returned once installed.
