Overview

I Small Block Chevy engines (1955-1986). It features a square bore carburetor flange and is optimized for an RPM range from idle to 5,500.

This manifold has a natural finish and a specific carb bolt pattern for 4150 style square-bore carburetors. Its dimensions include a center max height of 4.270 inches and front max height of 3.740 inches. The port dimensions are 1.85 inches in height and 1.15 inches in width.

The Edelbrock Performer EPS intake manifold (part #2701) is an aluminum, dual-plane design engineered for 1955-1986 Gen. I Small Block Chevy engines (262-400 cubic inches). This manifold features a 4150-style square-bore carburetor flange, making it compatible with specific carburetors. Its runner design is tuned for peak torque around 3500 RPM, with an optimal operating range from idle to 5,500 RPM. With a natural finish and a height of 4.270 inches at its center, the Performer EPS manifold offers specific port dimensions of 1.85 inches high and 1.15 inches wide. For those using a Holley Double-Pumper series carburetor, a low-profile vacuum fitting (EDL-8096) is recommended. It is important to note that the Edelbrock 2701 intake manifold will not fit under a stock Corvette hood. While it is possible to use a carb adapter to fit a spread bore carburetor, this will add an additional 0.850 inches to the overall height, potentially exacerbating hood clearance issues. Some Corvette applications from 1963-1979 may fit with specific air cleaner assemblies, but hood clearance is a critical consideration for street applications.
