The BDS Suspension coil springs are engineered to provide a custom tune to your truck's spring rate and ride height, offering a 4-inch lift for diesel Ram trucks and a 5.5-inch lift for gas Ram trucks. These direct OE replacement coil springs are manufactured from high tensile steel and designed with a properly sized wire diameter for maximum reliability and to prevent premature coil bind. These dual-rate springs feature a softer initial spring rate for improved on-road comfort, combined with a higher secondary spring rate to deliver stability and performance, even in harsh terrains. They are built to withstand full coil bind, returning to their original height after being compressed flat. A polyester-based powder coat is applied for flexibility and durability, while a preset hydraulic stress reduces fatigue and prevents sagging. The springs are also shot peened to increase tensile strength and maximize wheel travel without sacrificing spring life, utilizing either cold wound chrome silicon 9254 or hot wound 5160 for long-term durability.
