The Vogtland Sport Lowering Spring Kit utilizes a racing-derived, dual-rate compound design to enhance vehicle dynamics. The initial spring rate provides necessary preload for consistent suspension function across varying road conditions, while the final rate is calibrated to maintain vehicle balance and provide neutral steering. By lowering the vehicle center of gravity, these springs reduce wheel gap and improve overall performance. Manufactured from high-tensile steel, each spring is finished with a phosphating and epoxy powder coating for increased durability against external environmental factors. The kit is specifically engineered for the 1989-1997 Ford Thunderbird SC V8 and Mercury Cougar XR-7 SC V8 models. Please note that the total lowering amount may be reduced if the vehicle is already equipped with an original factory sport suspension. Any wheel and tire combinations used must remain compliant with official wheel type testing standards.
