The Ksport Dualcomp Rear Big Brake Kit is a high-performance braking upgrade specifically engineered for the BMW E85/E86 Z4. This kit is designed with drifting and rally racing in mind, featuring a unique Dual Caliper solution. It utilizes a single 4-piston caliper where two pistons operate the primary foot brake and the other two pistons independently manage the handbrake system. This provides enhanced control and braking performance tailored for demanding driving conditions. The kit includes 330mm diameter rotors with a 32mm thickness. Ksport offers two rotor styles: Cross Drilled rotors, recommended for daily driven vehicles due to cooler operating temperatures, and Slotted rotors, ideal for track use as they efficiently dissipate heat, dust, and gases. The calipers are constructed from a lightweight, one-piece forged aluminum for superior strength and heat resistance. The two-piece rotor design, featuring a 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum center section, reduces rotational mass and helps prevent warping by allowing independent expansion and contraction of the rotor and center section. The system includes D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which reduce pedal flex and provide a firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines. Standard equipment includes SC5 Street Pads, known for reducing dust and noise while offering optimal performance for street and occasional track use. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for those prioritizing extreme track performance. Ksport offers extensive customization options for this kit. Calipers are available in standard colors like Orange, Red, Black, and Yellow, with premium high-polish finishes and custom powder coating options available at an additional cost.
