The Ksport Dualcomp Rear Big Brake Kit offers a sophisticated dual caliper solution for your MINI R50 Cooper, engineered with drifting and rally racing in mind. This advanced system utilizes a single 4-piston caliper, with two pistons dedicated to the foot brake and the other two independently controlling the handbrake. Designed as a complete bolt-on kit, it includes all necessary components such as calipers, floating brake discs, street pads, and all required hardware for a straightforward installation with minimal tools. The calipers are constructed from a lightweight forged one-piece billet of aerospace-quality aluminum, ensuring exceptional strength and even thickness to prevent fracturing, warpage, or failure over time. The pistons are made from aluminum, protected by heavy-duty seals capable of handling racetrack temperatures, and feature an opposed-piston design for consistent pad grip and wear. High-temperature seals, titanium retainer clips, and stainless-steel wear plates are standard. The two-piece rotor design provides lightweight, fade-free performance. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles as they run cooler, while slotted rotors are suggested for more track-focused use. This kit comes standard with SC5 Street Pads, offering optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use, with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. The kit also features D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent expansion under pressure for a quicker pedal response and firmer feel.
