The Ksport Dualcomp Rear Big Brake Kit is a sophisticated, bolt-on brake upgrade designed specifically for the BMW E46 M3. This kit offers a dual-caliper solution, featuring a single 4-pot caliper where two pots are dedicated to the foot brake and the other two are for the handbrake, each operating on its own independent system. This innovative design is particularly suited for drifting and rally racing applications. Constructed with a lightweight, forged one-piece caliper made from aerospace-quality aluminum, this kit ensures even thickness and superior strength to prevent fracturing and warping. The caliper pistons are aluminum and protected by heavy-duty seals capable of withstanding high temperatures, while an opposed-piston design ensures consistent brake pad grip and wear. It includes high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel wear plates. The lightweight 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum center sections reduce rotational mass for quicker stopping and improved brake response. The two-piece design also minimizes rotor warping due to heat buildup, and the aluminum center sections act as heat sinks. Cross-drilled rotors are included as standard, recommended for daily driving due to cooler operation than slotted rotors, and they continuously clean the pad surface. Included are D.O.T.-compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent line expansion under pressure for a quicker pedal response and firmer pedal feel. The kit comes standard with SC5 Street Pads, offering optimal braking performance for street use with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. The Dualcomp system also features a polished Titanium handbrake cylinder and lever, and CNC-machined Carbon Steel caliper brackets to ensure proper fitment to the OEM location. Various caliper color options and center bell upgrades are available.
