The Ksport Dualcomp Rear Big Brake Kit is engineered as a high-performance braking solution for the BMW E84 X1, specifically designed with drifting and rally racing in mind. This kit introduces an innovative dual-caliper system, utilizing a single 4-piston caliper where two pistons engage for the primary foot brake and the other two operate independently for the handbrake. Constructed with a lightweight, forged one-piece caliper made from aerospace-grade aluminum, this kit ensures strength and durability while minimizing flex and potential failure points. The caliper pistons are aluminum and feature heavy-duty seals capable of withstanding high temperatures. The opposed-piston design guarantees consistent brake pad grip and wear. The system includes two-piece rotors, which are significantly lighter than OEM one-piece rotors, reducing rotational mass for improved response. These rotors feature a design that allows the outer section to expand and contract independently, reducing warping from heat. Center sections are crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum to act as effective heat sinks. This kit comes standard with everything needed for a complete bolt-on installation, including calipers, floating brake discs, SC5 Street Pads, and a polished titanium handbrake cylinder and lever. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are also included to provide a firmer pedal feel and quicker response by eliminating line expansion under pressure. Customization options for caliper color, rotor type (cross-drilled for street use, slotted for track use), and center bell upgrades are available.
