The Ksport Dualcomp Rear Big Brake Kit is a high-performance braking upgrade specifically designed for the BMW E61 5-Series. This kit features a unique dual-caliper system, with a single 4-piston caliper where two pistons handle the primary foot brake and the other two are dedicated to the handbrake, each operating on its own independent system. Constructed with a lightweight forged one-piece caliper body made from aerospace-quality aluminum, this kit is built for durability and heat resistance. The calipers feature aluminum pistons, heavy-duty seals for high-temperature operation, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The two-piece rotor design includes a 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum center section, reducing rotational mass and heat buildup, which also minimizes the risk of warping. Rotor options include slotted for track use or cross-drilled for better cooling on daily drivers. Included in the kit are D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent expansion under pressure for a firmer pedal feel and quicker response. Standard SC5 Street Pads are provided for optimal street and occasional track use, offering reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions.
