The Ksport Dualcomp Rear Big Brake Kit is a specialized braking system engineered for the Audi MK2 TT RS, designed to meet the demands of drifting and rally racing. This innovative Dualcomp system utilizes a single 4-piston caliper, ingeniously splitting its function: two pistons engage for the foot brake, while the other two are dedicated to the handbrake, each operating independently on its own circuit. The calipers themselves are constructed from a lightweight, forged one-piece billet of aerospace-quality aluminum, ensuring uniform thickness and superior strength to prevent fracturing, warpage, or failure. They feature aluminum pistons protected by heavy-duty seals capable of withstanding high temperatures, ensuring smooth operation and preventing corrosion. An opposed-piston design guarantees consistent brake pad grip and wear. High-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel wear plates are standard. The two-piece rotor design contributes to a lightweight package, offering fade-free performance and effective grip on the track, while remaining comfortable for daily driving. This construction also minimizes the risk of warping due to heat expansion and aids in heat dissipation. This Big Brake Kit is Formula Drift legal and comes standard with SC5 Street Pads, which offer optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use, significantly reducing dust and noise. An optional upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. The kit also features D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent line expansion under pressure, leading to a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines. The calipers can be customized with various standard painted colors or premium high-polish finishes, with extensive custom color options available for an additional fee. Center bell customization options, including titanium upgrades, are also offered. The rotors are cross-drilled, recommended for daily-driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler than slotted rotors. This kit requires 18-inch wheels or larger.
