The Ksport Dualcomp Rear Big Brake Kit is engineered for enhanced braking performance, specifically for the Volkswagen MK4 Golf 1.8T. This innovative system features a unique dual caliper design, allowing two pistons to handle the primary foot brake function while another two pistons are dedicated to the handbrake, each operating on its own independent hydraulic system. This setup is ideal for drifting and rally racing applications. The kit includes high-performance components such as lightweight forged one-piece calipers constructed from aerospace-grade aluminum, ensuring strength and durability. The calipers are equipped with opposed pistons for consistent pad wear and high-temperature seals. The system also features two-piece rotors, which are significantly lighter than OEM rotors, reducing rotational mass and improving brake response. These rotors are available in cross-drilled or slotted options; cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driving as they run cooler, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use. Standard inclusions are calipers, floating brake discs, SC5 street pads, a polished titanium handbrake, and all necessary hardware. Stainless steel braided brake lines are also included for improved pedal response and a firmer feel. This kit offers customization options for caliper color, including standard finishes like Ksport Orange, Race Red, Jet Black, and Caution Yellow, as well as premium high-polish and custom anodized finishes at an additional cost.
