The Ksport Dualcomp Rear Big Brake Kit is an advanced braking solution engineered for performance driving, specifically for the Volkswagen MK5 Golf GTI. This comprehensive kit provides a significant upgrade over stock braking systems, featuring a 4-piston Dualcomp caliper and 330mm x 32mm rotors. The innovative Dualcomp caliper design utilizes two pistons dedicated to the primary foot brake and two pistons for the handbrake, each operating on its own independent system. Constructed with a lightweight, forged one-piece caliper from aerospace-quality aluminum, this kit is built for durability and consistent performance. The caliper pistons are made from aluminum and feature heavy-duty seals to withstand high temperatures, ensuring smooth operation without drag. The opposed-piston design guarantees even brake pad wear and grip on both sides of the rotor. Additionally, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel wear plates are standard, enhancing longevity and reliability. The two-piece rotor design contributes to a lightweight package with fade-free performance. The floating rotors are crafted with lightweight center sections made from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, reducing rotational mass for improved responsiveness. This design also mitigates rotor warping caused by heat buildup. Standard SC5 Street Pads are included for optimal braking in street and occasional track conditions, offering reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track use. This kit is Formula Drift legal and is made to order, with an estimated lead time provided upon order submission.
