The Ksport Dualcomp Rear Big Brake Kit is an innovative dual caliper braking solution, specifically engineered for the Volkswagen MK7 Golf TDI. This kit is designed with drifting and rally racing in mind, featuring a unique dual caliper setup where one caliper utilizes two pots for the primary foot brake and another two pots for the handbrake, each operating on its own independent system. Kits come standard with calipers, floating brake discs, brake pads, and all required hardware. This Big Brake Kit is Formula Drift legal. The calipers are constructed from a lightweight, forged one-piece billet of aerospace-quality aluminum, ensuring exceptional strength and even thickness to prevent fracturing, warpage, and failure. The caliper pistons are aluminum and protected by heavy-duty seals capable of withstanding high temperatures, ensuring smooth operation and preventing corrosion. An opposed-piston design ensures consistent brake pad grip and wear. High-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates are standard. The rotors have lightweight center sections crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, reducing rotational mass for quicker stopping and improved brake response. The two-piece design also allows for independent expansion and contraction of the outer rotor section, reducing the chance of warping due to heat buildup. The aluminum center sections act as heat sinks, dissipating heat effectively. These rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. The kit includes SC5 Street Pads, offering optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use, with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. The calipers can be customized in various colors, including standard options like Orange, Red, and Black, as well as premium high-polish and anodized finishes for an additional charge. Center bell customization options are also available.
