The caliper itself is constructed from a lightweight, forged one-piece billet of aerospace-quality aluminum, ensuring exceptional strength and resistance to warping or failure under extreme conditions. It incorporates high-temperature seals and aluminum pistons for smooth operation and corrosion resistance. The opposed-piston design promotes consistent brake pad wear. The rotors feature lightweight center sections made from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, lowering rotational mass for quicker stopping response and reduced brake fade. The two-piece design also allows for independent expansion and contraction of the rotor sections, minimizing warping due to heat. Included with the kit are Ksport's SC5 Street Pads, known for optimal braking performance in street and occasional track use, with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for those prioritizing extreme track conditions. The kit also features a polished titanium handbrake cylinder and lever for improved feel and aesthetics, CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets for direct OEM fitment, and D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines that enhance pedal response and firmness. This Big Brake Kit is Formula Drift legal and comes standard with everything needed for installation, including calipers, floating brake discs, brake pads, handbrake, and all required hardware.
