The Darton Sleeves 300-011 is a kit of four dry sleeves with flanges, engineered to upgrade Honda D17 engines. These sleeves are manufactured from Darton's bulletproof ductile iron, boasting a 130,000-psi tensile strength, which provides the robustness of cast iron within an aluminum block. This design significantly improves block integral strength and offers superior oil and compression control, leading to enhanced cylinder sealing and reduced ring wear. Darton's MID (Modular Integrated Deck) "Wet" sleeve design incorporates "Swirl Coolant Technology™" to manage and enhance water flow around the upper cylinder wall and flange area. This technology, combined with "Register Fins™", promotes stability of cooling and significantly improves heat transfer where it is most needed, thereby eliminating hot spots in the compression area and allowing for increased horsepower output potential. The sleeves also feature a phosphate coating, a microcrystalline protective layer that provides optimal corrosion and rust resistance, extending the lifespan of o-rings and resisting abrasion from turbulent coolant flow. These sleeves are suitable for both street and strip applications, offering high boost and horsepower potential. They can be installed by a local machine shop, and a full installation manual is available on Darton's website. The kit provides for maximum bore sizes and "wet sleeve" replace-ability.
