The Injector Dynamics ID1700x is a high-flow fuel injector designed to bridge the gap between the ID1300x and ID2000 models. It features corrosion-resistant internals, making it compatible with all known automotive fuels, including E85. The injector utilizes a unique magnetic circuit to prevent voltage and pressure sensitivity issues common in other high-impedance injectors.

With a nominal flow rate of 1725cc/min at 3.0 Bar (43.5 psi), the ID1700x is ideal for boosted E85 applications or extremely high horsepower gasoline builds. It is designed to perform flawlessly at high pressures typical of modern automotive systems and can deliver stoichiometric idle and cruise mixtures on E85.

The Injector Dynamics ID1700x fuel injector is a high-performance component developed in collaboration with Bosch Motorsport. It is engineered to offer a flow rate between the ID1300x and ID2000 injectors, providing a versatile option for demanding engine builds. The injector's robust construction includes corrosion-resistant internals, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of automotive fuels such as E85, methanol, ethanol, and all known hydrocarbon fuels. A key feature of the ID1700x is its advanced magnetic circuit, which eliminates the voltage and pressure sensitivity problems often found in other high-impedance, high-flow injectors. This design allows the injector to operate reliably under the high fuel pressures common in modern automotive applications. It is particularly well-suited for delivering E85 to boosted engines or for gasoline applications requiring extremely high horsepower. Specifications for the ID1700x include a nominal flow rate of 1725cc/min at 3.0 Bar (43.5 psi) using Iso-Octane at 52 Degrees C (125 Degrees F). The maximum differential fuel pressure it can handle is 7.0 Bar (101.5 psi). The electrical connector type is USCAR, and it operates with a 12V saturated circuit driver. While the ID1700x excels at providing precise fuel mixtures on E85, it is not optimized for precise low-flow gasoline operation, similar to the ID2000. It is critical not to purchase single or partial quantity replacement injectors for an existing set, as they will not be flow-matched and could lead to driveability issues or engine damage. Injector Dynamics recommends following their specific cleaning procedure for existing injector sets if a replacement is suspected to be necessary.
