The 3M™ Venture Tape™ Film Faced ASJ Buttstrip Tape 106FXP is a pressure-sensitive tape formulated to adhere to polypropylene facings. It is suitable for both cold and hot, humid temperatures, ranging from -40°F/-40°C to 150°F/66°C. The adhesive contains mold-inhibiting agents to help prevent corrosion under insulation and mold build-up in high humidity. Its conformable facing allows for easy application to irregular surfaces and curves. This tape meets ASTM C1136, Type I, II, III, IV, and offers excellent resistance to weathering, mold, and UV, making it a good choice for various environmental conditions. It is a tri-directional reinforced tape with a tough white polypropylene film facing in a core/scrim/foil laminated backing, coated with a cold weather acrylic adhesive. The adhesive is specifically designed for cold weather applications but performs well at normal and high temperatures, providing quick stick at normal temperatures and good holding power for extended periods with good aging properties that resist lifting and curling. This tape provides a tough, flexible vapor seal on ductboard and pipe insulation butt joints and is easy to install on site without special tools or application methods.
