E-Core Ignition Coil

The ACCEL SuperCoil ignition coil (part #140021) is engineered to enhance ignition performance in Dodge Magnum Truck and Jeep vehicles from 1990-2002. It utilizes optimized low resistance, high turns ratio windings around an M36 high silicone magnetic steel E-core, resulting in higher energy and voltage outputs. This design contributes to quicker engine starts, improved idle quality, crisper throttle response, and more high RPM power. Constructed with advanced bobbin technology and special high-temperature epoxy, this coil resists shock and vibration while improving thermal conductivity. The high dielectric strength ACCEL Yellow over-molded housing ensures durability. It features brass coil wire contacts for increased energy efficiency and superior corrosion resistance compared to aluminum. The coil boasts a peak increase of 23% in arc duration, 17% in current, and 36% in dwell versus OE specifications, with a maximum output voltage of 42,000 Volts. This SuperCoil serves as a direct OEM replacement and can also be integrated with aftermarket ignition systems from ACCEL, Mallory, Crane, Holley, or MSD capacitive discharge units. It is compatible with late model Ford EEC-IV computer controlled ignition systems equipped with a TFI distributor.
