E-Core Ignition Coil

Its efficient E-core windings are engineered to produce high current output and a maximum voltage of 40,000 volts, particularly when utilized with an MSD 6 Series Ignition, delivering 300 milliamps of current. The coil features a tough, rigid housing with a tall tower and brass primary terminals, ensuring durability and reliable connections. Both primary and secondary windings are encased in Ciba polyurethane for enhanced protection and performance. This ignition coil is compatible with MSD 6 and 7 series ignitions, as well as other electronic ignitions. It boasts a 70:1 turns ratio and lower primary resistance, contributing to its high voltage output. The efficient winding design and assembly create a compact housing that still delivers a powerful spark. Note: If installing the Blaster SS Coil to a points distributor or a non-current limiting ignition system without an MSD Ignition, a 0.8 ohm ballast resistor (MSD PN 8214) is required. This resistor should be wired in series with any factory resistors on the positive coil wire. Mounting hardware is included, but brackets are not.
