The Mechman E Series 370-amp alternator is engineered for late Chrysler LX V8 applications, offering enhanced power and reliability. Featuring newly redesigned 6-phase technology, massive twin rectifier assemblies, and 12 diodes, this alternator is built for extreme durability during daily use. It delivers a robust 370 amps of output and impressively maintains over 180 amps at engine idle speeds, ensuring your electrical system is powered even under heavy load. This is a computer-controlled charging system, meaning the vehicle's factory ECU/PCM dictates charging voltage. While it provides significantly increased amperage, the voltage behavior will follow the factory system. For custom or fixed voltage output, ECU tuning is required. Installation notes indicate this unit comes with a smaller 1.75-inch diameter pulley, necessitating a slightly shorter drive belt for proper tension. It is not recommended for sustained use above 5,000 RPM engine speed. The alternator is made to order with an approximate lead time of 2 weeks. This alternator is compatible with the following vehicles: Chrysler 300 (5.7L and 6.4L, 2011-2018), Dodge Challenger (5.7L and 6.4L, 2011-2018), Dodge Charger (5.7L and 6.4L, 2011-2018), Dodge Durango (5.7L and 6.4L, 2011-2018), and Jeep Grand Cherokee (5.7L, 2011-2018 and 6.4L, 2012-2018).
