E30 M42 Poly Engine Mount Bushings

The Garagistic E30 318 M42 Poly Engine Mount Bushings (replaces OEM PN 11811137076) are a direct upgrade for the factory dual overhead cam four-cylinder engine's liquid-filled mount bushings. Over time, the original M42 engine mount bushings can leak fluid or tear, impacting engine support. Garagistic's polyurethane bushings offer a more durable solution. Featuring a captive stud design, these bushings isolate each side of the mount to maximize vibration dampening within the polyurethane material. This design provides increased rigidity and engine support, resulting in improved power transfer and reduced engine movement, especially during spirited driving. The 80A durometer polyurethane is recommended for most street-driven cars with occasional performance use. While these bushings are more rigid than the factory units and will transfer more vibration, the benefits of increased performance, durability, and strength often outweigh the drawbacks for enthusiasts.
