Overview

The Turner Motorsports E36 Front Subframe Reinforcement Kit is designed to address a common weakness in the E36 chassis. The subframe's motor mount gussets are not sufficiently reinforced from the factory and can develop cracks or collapse under stress, potentially leading to engine damage and costly repairs. This kit includes steel reinforcing plates that are welded to the underside and to the bottom of the gusset to provide extra strength.

The motor mount area on the E36 subframe features a gusset that is susceptible to stress from engine torque, especially with performance upgrades. Without adequate reinforcement, these gussets can crack or collapse, leading to a significant shift of the engine and potential damage to other components. This subframe reinforcement kit from Turner Motorsports provides a robust solution. It is recommended to install this kit whenever the front subframe is already being removed for other maintenance, such as replacing motor mounts, the oil pan gasket, or checking the oil pump nut. This reinforcement kit is compatible with a wide range of E36 models from 1992-1998, including the 318i, 318is, 318ti, 318ic, 323is, 323ic, 325i, 325is, 325ic, 328i, 328is, 328ic, and M3. It also fits the 1997-2002 BMW Z3 models, including the Z3 1.9, Z3 2.3, Z3 2.5i, Z3 2.8, Z3 3.0i, M Roadster, and M Coupe. Installation instructions are included with the kit.
