The Advanced Auto Fabrication E46 M3 Brake Cooling Duct Kit offers a significant upgrade for track-focused BMWs, specifically designed to combat brake fade and extend component life. This kit improves upon existing designs with ultra-high airflow inlets featuring a massive 4″ opening, manufactured from durable 3D-printed material. The included ABS plastic tubes are shaped for excellent airflow and a tight turning radius, allowing for up to 1.5 turns from straight even with large racing tires, while tapering to a 3″ flex hose for optimal performance and cost-efficiency. Complementing the ducting are specially designed backing plates. These feature an open-flow design to direct cool air into the brake hat and towards the wheel bearings, crucial for track conditions. By providing more air through the rotor veins and acting as a heat shield for shocks, ball joints, and tie rods, these powder-coated black backing plates help maintain consistent shock dampening, improve the longevity of steering and suspension components, and significantly increase wheel bearing life. This kit is available in multiple configurations: Kit #1 includes inlets, molded tubes, flex hose, backing plates, and all necessary hardware for a complete installation. Kit #2 is for those who already possess AAF backing plates and need the ducting components. Kit #3 is designed for replacing damaged or broken ducting pieces, including only the inlets and molded tubes.
