E46 M3 X-Pipe

The Rogue Engineering E46 M3 X-Pipe represents a significant upgrade for the E46 M3's exhaust system, designed to be the most free-flowing mid-pipe available. It directly replaces the factory section 2, eliminating the resonator to increase overall exhaust volume and enhance the exhaust note. This X-pipe is engineered to maximize exhaust gas velocity by merging the two factory pipes into a single, larger 76mm tube. This design promotes better gas velocity equalization from all cylinders before entering the muffler and creates a vacuum between exhaust pulses, further improving performance and sound quality. Constructed from 100% T-304 stainless steel with full TIG-welded seams, this mid-pipe is built for durability and longevity. It offers a substantial weight savings, coming in at only 12 lbs, which is 10 lbs lighter than the stock component. Importantly, installing this X-pipe will not change ground clearance, void the factory warranty, or affect vehicle emissions, as it is developed to work with all factory emissions controls and equipment. This particular model features an integrated electric dump valve (EVC), allowing the driver to control exhaust sound levels on the fly with a simple switch. The valve can be adjusted from a stock-like quietness to a race-car loud setting in under three seconds. The EVC system includes a US-made valve with a 6061-T6 aluminum body and plate, stainless steel butterfly and shaft, and high-temperature steel gears. A custom wiring harness designed for internal console mounting in the E46 M3, a momentary rocker switch, and all necessary hardware and gaskets for valve installation are included. Fitment is specifically for the BMW E46 M3 (1999-2006 models). It is noted that this product fits ONLY the E46 M3 and does not fit the Z4M. While developed to work with stock emissions controls, owners should be aware of local sound regulations, as exhaust modifications may be restricted in some jurisdictions.
