The TransGo Shift Kit® is a comprehensive valve body repair kit specifically designed for E4OD and 4R100 transmissions, fitting all models from 1989 onwards. This kit aims to resolve common driveability complaints and transmission failures by restoring hydraulic integrity through an easy-to-install and cost-effective solution. Key features of this shift kit include the provision of smooth, short shifts. It also enhances converter charge pressure to effectively match engine torque, thereby reducing the occurrence of TCC slip codes. Furthermore, the kit includes optional internal upgrades to improve cooling, lubrication, and converter feed and capacity, leading to a more robust transmission performance. These include diagnostic trouble codes such as 628, P1740, and P1744, as well as common problems like soft shifts, 2nd and 3rd gear burn-up, converter burn-up, reverse delay (especially when hot), converter slide or shudder, and pump buzz. The kit's design is focused on durability for normal everyday use and light-duty towing. The kit comes with a variety of components to facilitate these improvements, including a pressure regulator boost valve, a 1-2 shift valve spring, a line regulator valve, innovative line-to-lube components, other calibration items, a high-temperature direct clutch seal, a coast clutch HD snap ring, an OD housing spiral lock snap ring, and an updated direct clutch outer seal.
