E4OD Transmission Package Stage 1

The ATS Diesel Performance E4OD Transmission Package is a robust upgrade engineered to address common failure points in the Ford E4OD transmission, particularly when paired with the torque demands of diesel engines. This Stage 1 package is specifically designed for 1989-1991 Ford F-250 and F-350 trucks equipped with Power Stroke diesel engines and the E4OD transmission, in 2WD configurations. This transmission package includes a high-performance Five Star Torque Converter with a billet cover and five lock-up clutches, available in low or high stall configurations. It also features upgraded clutch packs with an additional clutch in the overdrive, intermediate, and forward sections. To ensure optimal performance, the transmission pump is modified to increase line pressure for greater clamping force on the clutch packs, and the valve body is recalibrated for precise shifts and increased torque capacity. The package is completed with new bearings, seals, gaskets, a low roller clutch, heavy-duty intermediate sprag, bonded coast and overdrive pistons, and an ATS Deep Transmission Pan that adds five quarts of fluid to help manage temperatures. The Stage 1 Package is recommended for trucks engaged in light towing, daily driving, and those with stock or mild performance modifications. It comes with a comprehensive 3-year/300,000-mile warranty, providing significant peace of mind for owners.
