EA888 Gen 3 3.5-Inch Cold Air Intake System

The Integrated Engineering Cold Air Intake System is engineered to maximize airflow and performance for VW MK7 and Audi 8V 1.8T/2.0T (MQB) EA888 Gen 3 engines. This system features large 3.5-inch intake piping and smooth 3-ply silicone couplers designed to optimize flow, particularly for tuned engines, hybrid, and big turbo setups. The intake incorporates a robust aluminum alloy heat shield that channels high-pressure outside air directly to the integrated velocity stack and 5-inch air filter. This design effectively seals out hot engine bay air, offering superior heat resistance and improved filtration, especially in harsh climates with its 3-step filter approach. The system also amplifies engine and turbo sounds for a more engaging driving experience. The iE air intake kit includes silicone couplers compatible with both the stock turbo inlet and the optional iE turbo inlet upgrade (sold separately) for maximum performance. This product is 50-state CARB legal, carrying CARB EO Number D-838-1, ensuring compliance with emissions testing. However, there are specific fitment exclusions: it does not fit Audi A3 engines equipped with a MAF sensor (commonly found in FWD models). VW Arteon models are not compatible with the optional carbon fiber lid without washer filler neck relocation and require the IE Turbo Inlet Pipe upgrade. Additionally, some European models may require minor modification to the heat shield to accommodate a front-mounted crash sensor. Flow bench testing demonstrates significant gains, with the iE Intake & IE Inlet combination showing up to a 66.94% increase in flow over stock at -5 in/H20, contributing to power gains of up to 15WHP and 13 ft-lbs of torque on turbo engines, with even higher increases possible on upgraded turbo setups.
