This system provides cooler, denser air for maximum performance potential, available in Black and Silver finishes.

The 034Motorsport Intercooler System is engineered to significantly enhance the cooling performance and efficiency of your 2.0T engine, addressing the limitations of the factory intercooler in EA888 1.8T & 2.0T equipped MQB Volkswagens & Audis. Designed with CAD and CFD software, this system features an optimized high-speed core and cast aluminum end tanks that deliver superior cooling capabilities. By providing cooler, denser air, it maximizes the engine's performance potential, making it ideal for hot lapping at the track or attacking backroads without the concern of heat soak. This intercooler system utilizes a tube and fin core construction, a design favored in professional motorsports for its lightweight nature and efficient heat shedding. The core measures 24.6” x 16.25” x 2.0”, offering a 63% volume increase over the Mk7 GTI intercooler and a 51% increase over the Mk7 Golf R/8V S3 intercooler. Despite its increased capacity, it maintains a low weight of only 17.6 pounds and is optimized to balance pressurization volume, thermal capacity, and pressure drop. This balance ensures fast pressurization, minimal lag, and effective heat management, even with stock power, stage 1 or 2 tunes, and hybrid turbo systems. Installation is rated as moderate, and it is designed as a direct replacement for the factory unit. However, trimming of the radiator support is required, similar to other aftermarket intercoolers.
