The Edge Products 98620 EAS Expandable EGT Probe Kit is a popular accessory for diesel truck owners looking to monitor Exhaust Gas Temperatures (EGTs) directly from their in-cabin device. This kit provides the essential components, including the EAS Starter Cable and a dedicated EGT Probe, to integrate this crucial monitoring capability into your vehicle's Edge accessory system. The design prioritizes accurate readings by placing the external temperature probe directly in the exhaust manifold, as close to the combustion chamber as possible. Installation of the EGT probe typically requires the exhaust manifold to be drilled and tapped to a 1/8-NPT specification; the necessary bit and tap are not included with the kit. However, the kit does include the manifold fitting, the probe itself, wiring, and the EAS starter cable, ensuring a comprehensive package for initial setup. This EAS EGT Kit is specifically designed to work with Edge Products CS2, CTS2, and CTS3 monitors.
