The Cobra Easy Hardwire Kit provides a plug-and-play power solution by utilizing your vehicle's OBDII port, offering a cleaner installation than traditional accessory power ports. This 9.8-foot cable allows for flexible routing and frees up USB or other power ports. It is specifically designed for Cobra radar detectors and offers universal vehicle compatibility for any vehicle with an OBDII port, including most 1996 and newer combustion vehicles and most electric vehicles. Installation does not require direct power tapping. A crucial consideration for compatible radar detectors is the need to adjust power settings to prevent continuous power draw when the vehicle is not running. The kit outputs DC 12V 2A, with an input of DC 12V.
