Description

The Eaton 912A556 is a Detroit Truetrac Differential designed for GM 8.5in. 10 bolt axles with 28 splines and a 2.73 & up gear ratio. This differential is suitable for both off-road (work truck/towing, light trail/sand sports) and on-road (work truck/towing, street and muscle, restoration, drag racing, circle track) vehicle usage. It is compatible with various General Motors passenger cars and trucks from 1971-1989. Note that special bearings are required depending on the axle's bearing bore size: LM102949 and LM102911 for small bores (pre-1999) or LM603049 and LM603012 for large bores (1999-2013).
