EBC Racing 07-15 Audi R8 4.2 Front Titanium Shim

The EBC SH1513 is a set of titanium heat insulation shims designed to reduce heat transfer to your brake calipers. These shims are laser-cut and perforated to minimize conductive heat, with laboratory tests showing a reduction of approximately 90℉. Proper installation requires shims to be flat against the brake pad and existing rubberized shims to be removed.

Installation involves ensuring the shims sit flat on the rear of the brake pad, removing any old shims and adhesive residue, and then fitting the new titanium shims snugly. For sliding calipers, two shims are applied to the pads next to the piston, while multi-piston calipers receive shims for all four pads.
