They offer a moderately high friction level of 0.45 across a broad temperature range (100 – 750°C or 200 – 1400°F). The progressive response is particularly advantageous for vehicles that tend to be 'over-servoed', and the softer pad material enables finer control and more precision when braking. RP-1™ is highly effective when paired with various Big Brake Kits from other manufacturers (non-EBC). They feature stainless steel backing plates to reduce heat conduction without the need for paint and incorporate the Nucap® NRS® hook pad retention system for enhanced durability, completely eliminating the risk of pad debonding.
