These UK-designed and manufactured fully-floating 2-piece brake discs serve as a direct replacement for performance vehicles with existing 2-piece discs or a bolt-on upgrade for vehicles with 1-piece cast iron discs, requiring no vehicle modifications. They feature 48 directionally handed curved vanes for effective heat dissipation, leading to lower operating temperatures and delayed brake fade. The outer friction rings are cast from a high-copper, high-carbon G3500 disc alloy. The bells are precision-machined from aerospace-grade aluminum and hard-anodized. The cast iron outer ring "floats" on EBC’s patented SD-Drive technology bobbins (machined from a single piece of stainless steel), allowing for expansion and contraction under extreme heat and preventing corrosion. Anti-rattle spring clips ensure silent operation. These discs are lighter than OE discs, reducing unsprung rotational mass, which improves turn-in, tire road holding, fuel economy, and BHP at the wheels. The outer friction ring is replaceable when worn, allowing reuse of the center hub and bobbins, reducing long-term running costs.
