EBC S1 Kits Ultimax Pads & RK Rotors is a premium street disc brake kit designed for daily driving. The kit includes high-efficiency EBC Ultimax pads with a patented EBC Brake-in coating, and premium RK series rotors with a thermic anti-rust coating. The pads are OE hardware compatible, feature a high-friction European spec friction material, and are shimmed, slotted, and chamfered for low noise and long life. The rotors are sized and shaped to OE factory dimensions (286x26mm) with strict quality controls and machined to extremely tight tolerances (less than 0.05 millimeters). They are made from high-quality "gray" iron with a higher carbon content to reduce brake shudder, heat cracking, and high-frequency vibrations. The rotors also feature a black GEOMET™ and NITROTHERM™ anti-corrosive finish. EBC recommends a 500-mile break-in period for the rotors. This kit is suitable for normal street driving, high-performance street driving, truck or SUV use, drifting, and short track runs.
