The EBC S1 Kits Ultimax Pads & RK Rotors are a front brake kit designed as a premium OE replacement. The Ultimax brake pads are "black pads" meant for stock replacement, compatible with existing hardware. They feature high-friction European spec friction, are shimmed, slotted, and chamfered, and offer long-lasting, low-noise performance suitable for non-sport urban daily driving on sedans, SUVs, and light trucks. The pads use a blend of synthetic aramid fibers and metallic filament for extended life and are vibration-free, with pre-fitted anti-noise shims and a center line slot for minimal braking noise. They come with a 1-year/10,000-mile warranty against factory defects. The EBC RK Series Premium OE Replacement Plain Brake Rotors are sold in pairs and are sized and shaped to OE factory dimensions with tight tolerances (less than 0.05 millimeters). They are made from high-quality "gray" iron, exceeding factory original specifications for thermal buildup, brake noise, vibration, and wear. The rotors feature an anodized layer for corrosion resistance and a Black GEOMET™ and NITROTHERM™ anti-corrosive finish. They are recommended by EBC for normal street driving, high-performance street driving, truck or SUV use, drifting, and short track runs. EBC recommends a 500-mile break-in period with lighter braking application.
