EBC S9 Brake Pad and Rotor Kit

The EBC S9KR1173 is a rear brake kit that includes EBC's flagship Yellowstuff high-friction pads and USR (Ultimax Slotted Rotors) sport slotted rotors. Yellowstuff pads are designed for high-temperature use with excellent wear life, suitable for both track and performance street driving. They offer superb bite from cold, whisper-quiet operation due to beveled edges and a center-line slot, and are treated with EBC's unique Break-In surface coating for rapid bedding. The pads are powder-coated for rust-free service and vent heat and gas to prevent thermal cracks and fade. They come with a 12-month/10,000-mile warranty. The USR BlackDash Series Sport Slotted Rotors are 1-piece rotors featuring multiple angled slots for quieter operation and superior cooling. The vented center helps prevent warpage, and a protective black GEOMET™ and NITROTHERM™ anti-corrosive finish is applied to non-contact areas. The slots ensure increased pad bite, improved air circulation, and clean the pad surface for optimal friction. They also create an escape route for debris, dust, and water, reducing stopping distances in wet weather and offering faster heat dissipation. The rotors are unidirectional and designed for even pad wear, preventing ridges and frictional noise. EBC recommends a 500-mile break-in period with lighter braking application.
