EBPV Delete Kit 7.3L Ford Powerstroke Diesel Turbo

The Spelab SPTS00861 is an Exhaust Back-pressure Valve (EBV) delete kit designed for 7.3L Ford Powerstroke Diesel Turbo engines manufactured from late 1999.5 through 2003. The EBV system, intended to help engines reach operating temperature faster by closing exhaust flow, is prone to oil leaks from its regulator and actuator, often requiring turbocharger removal for service. This delete kit replaces those failure-prone components with a non-EBP pedestal and turbo outlet flange, made from aluminum alloy and paste. By removing the EBV system, users can experience reduced turbo lag and increased responsiveness. It may also help lower exhaust gas temperatures, particularly when combined with other performance-enhancing parts. This kit offers a more cost-effective solution compared to replacing potentially failing original EBV parts. Fitment is specific to late 1999.5 to 2003 Ford Powerstroke Diesel Turbos, with a critical note that it ONLY fits late 1999 models and requires a 3-inch intake cover connection (early trucks have a 2-inch inlet). It explicitly does NOT fit the 2000 Ford F-350 Super Duty Lariat 7.3L. Professional installation is recommended. The kit includes a non-EBP pedestal, non-EBP turbo outlet flange, four turbo and pedestal mounting o-rings, and two turbo mounting bolts.
