The Zimmermann Z-Coat front brake rotor is a direct-fit replacement for your vehicle's braking system, offering a 312x24mm size and manufactured in Germany to exacting standards. These high-carbon rotors are treated with an anti-corrosion phosphate coating, known as Coat Z, which prevents rust formation on the hub and inner vanes, ensuring a superior visual appearance and immediate functional capability upon installation. This coating eliminates the need to remove it before mounting. This rotor meets ECE R90 approval, indicating it meets or exceeds OEM specifications. As a wear item, rotors require inspection and potential replacement over time; it's recommended to replace them in matched pairs for optimal performance and longevity. Fitment notes are critical for this rotor: It is specifically designed for base model brakes only and will NOT fit cars with the M Sport trim or M Sport upgrade packages on F22, F30, and F32 models. For E90/E91/E92/E93 models, it is not compatible with the 2007 328i/328xi (a different part number is recommended for those). For the E84 X1, this rotor is only compatible with vehicles produced after April 2012. Always verify fitment with your vehicle's specific configuration, especially concerning M Sport brake packages.
